Our Story + Intention
We know that the promotion and marketing side of local healer + yoga community feels challenging for lots of facilitators. Luckily our small yet mighty team has a decent amount of experience in designing and creating websites, and running successful social media accounts – which became the solution in mind after having lots group practitioner friends ask for advice about promotion/social media/web presence. “We need somewhere to share the circle work that we are doing that doesn’t feel ‘icky’ or ‘salesy’; and also doesn’t cost us a lot of money!!” is usually the repeated desire. For many teachers, hosting and running a website and social media takes more time and money than they ever expected and becomes a real struggle which takes away from their true passion of leading groups.
We hope that by creating this website – as well as offering promotional support via and a regular newsletter – that we can offer a simple and effective way for leaders + teachers to get the word out about their circles, and support and champion the important work they’re doing. And, for those not wishing to have a standalone website, your listing page can act as a ‘holding page’ for what you do – a dedicated link for your circle events that you can use in text messages, emails, online, flyers, social media and so on.
We are all really excited about the potential for how this site can help spread the word of group experiences such as women’s circles, and offer another way for our community to connect with each other. And we’d love to welcome you to this nurturing space. Much like a group circle, the strength of this website lies in the community of leaders within it. FAQs
Can I change my listing type later on?
Sure. If you’ve just opened your own studio for example and currently have a individual teacher listing, we can help you migrate everything to a studio listing.
You sure can. You can upgrade or downgrade when you need to. There’s no contracts or penalties of any kind. Simply get in touch and we’ll help.
We’ll be sorry to see you go, but in any case you can cancel any time before your next monthly billing cycle.
I don’t have a website or social media. Does that matter?
No. And, actually, that’s why so many facilitators use Kismeet, as it allows them an online presence without the hassle and cost of paying for domains and hosting. You can include links to an Eventbrite or other ticketing site, to a Facebook page, or even just your email or mobile, or simply say that circles run at a specific time, date and place and leave the rest up to the circle universe – whatever works for you.
What if I decide to cancel?
We understand that things change, so when your term comes to an end – ie one/six/twelve months – then, of course, you are more than welcome to cancel, without any questions or hassle. If you need to cancel more urgently than that, please email us and we can discuss.
What does the price include?
The cost of listing your work, including the time and costs needed to design, manage and maintain the site; promotion and sharing on social media; writing, designing and sending out a regular newsletter.
I run in-person and online circles, do I need to buy two memberships?
No. They will get listed separately to make it easier for people to search, but your subscription is for your circle business, rather than individual circles, so one subscription covers all the types of circles you run.
Why does submitting a listing incur fees?
Not only does the website take a considerable amount of time to maintain, run and update, but the costs of hosting and developing sites such as these are on the rise. Managing a directory such as this also requires a lot of technical expertise behind-the-scenes to ensure your circle is found through the right searches and tags. In addition, we want to make sure this is a site that truly works for both circle holders and those looking for circles, so a fee enables us to spend the time needed to keep the site up-to-date and relevant.
